This pre-Hispanic road system is part of the Qhapaq Ñan, which had a transregional function to integrate the Andes and the Amazon. Only in the area of the HS of Machu Picchu and the PAN Machu Picchu, 42 sections have been recorded that have an approximate length of 300 km. These roads interconnect all the archaeological monuments adapted to the geomorphology of the area, as well as keeping a scenic beauty and a great diversity of flora and fauna.
